Networking back to Homepage

While computers play an important role in business success, with the demands of changing times they are almost useless without a network. A network refers to a collection of hardware components and computers interconnected by communication channels that allow sharing of resources and information. Network setup includes, but is not limited to data transportation mediums, communication protocols, scale, topology, and organizational scope.

There are two types of networks, intraoffice and interoffice. Intraoffice networks are ones between devices within your office. Whether you have multiple computers, printers, etc. in your office or many floors of devices, they can be programmed to work together on one network. Interoffice networks are those set up between devices in two different offices. This allows data and accesses to be shared regardless of location.

When setting up a network, it is of utmost importance to maintain a strong form of security, data access, and have the proper hardware. With the right cables and setup, you can prevent putting stress on data servers and backup systems. You can also secure any Wi-Fi networks you have to stop intruders and others from accessing your internet unless they have been given permission. With the proper implementation, many computers can have access to the internet at once and still maintain a fast and smooth data stream to the web from each computer. By enabling intraoffice and interoffice networks, you can have access to files that you save in your office as well as files that you saved on other computers/servers at different locations. The main goal is to connect  to devices over the internet to allow both ends to work seamlessly in the background.
